Sunday Summary

Phew, time goes by so fast these days, it's kinda hard to keep track on things that happened this week.
Well anyway, last week's Sunday Summary was very late - as in two days late - but since then I took some time off on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to recover from an amazing weekend in Sweden with Maria  and to get ready for school.

And yes, school started Thursday. It was actually a little weird, because normally I'm always a little jittery before school starts, but this year I was very calm and a-ok... Which was awesome!
I got up Thursday morning, took my sweet time to take a shower, put on makeup, eat some breakfast and so on. The I drove off to the school, where my very first class this year was Danish.
My classmates seem alright; there's already a couple of people I feel I can talk to - so that's great! However my teacher is absolutely fantastic! She's so amazing; just the perfect combination of funny, witty and stern.
I also had a Danish class on Friday as well - at 8 o'clock in the morning - phew, that one was hard to gear up for, but luckily it wasn't bad at all, and at 12 o'clock my weekend started.

And well, this weekend has just been exactly like a weekend should be; walking around in wollen socks, no pants on and endless cups of coffee. And I've been Skyping with Kasper a whole lot, plus I've watched a lot of great movies. Unfortunately today I got up way too late, and actually that's the reason this Sunday Summary is a little short. I promise to make it better next week - but for now, I have what seems like endless amounts of homework, already stacking up...

... so I guess I'd better get to it.

Sunday Summary - Tuesday Edition

Welliti welliti welliti, things sure hasn't been running as smoothly here at f&f - not like they used to. But ah, what's a girl to do when there are soooo many other things to focus on?
Well, it might be Tuesday, but my brain can't let the thought of last weeks Sunday Summary go, so here it is - yes, on a Tuesday...

... There actually isn't much to tell about most of last week. Monday Maria came by in the evening, so that we could plan our upcoming trip to Sweden. And the finally, after waiting for months and months and months, we finally drove for the bridge which connects Denmark and Sweden.
Maria came by at around 9 in the morning Friday, and after a quick ciggy we drove off. It was such a fun - but long and hot - trip, but we managed to pass the time with lively discussions of politics, talks about Disney movies, laughs and endless bottles of water and cans of Coca Cola. We were in Växjö at around 1, and then we took a long stroll around town. It's been a while since I've been in Växjö Centrum, but ah how lovely it was. There was some kind of festival of sorts, so the streets were filled with happy, smiling people, street artists, children with balloons and girls with loads of shopping bags. Soon Maria and I were two of those girls; Maria shopped some clothes, and I spent my "Sweden Savings" in Lagerhaus; a big shop with loads of different things for the home - wups, haha!
Then we were on our way to do a little grocery shopping, and then finally we drove to the country house in the woods. After unpacking, I gave Maria the grand tour, and luckily she fell in love with the surroundings at once. The rest of Friday was spent outside in the sunny garden with coffee and ciggys, and then late in the evening we went inside and watched a Disney movie and totally pigged out, haha!

Saturday we got up at around 9, and then the day just went fast from there on out. The hours just flew by; coffee and Netflix were involved, and of course, many many hours were spent outside in the garden. It was just such a nice day, but the best thing about it was the happy and relaxed look on Maria's face all weekend. It was just so nice to see that she had a lovely time.
In the evening, when it got too chilly to sit outside, we went inside and watched a couple of movies before we crashed.

And finally Sunday. Such a shame we didn't have more time in the Swedish paradise, but we had a nice couple of days. We took our time with breakfast and then, little by little, we started doing all of the chores such as vacuuming the floors and all that jazz. We were on our way home at around 2, and then just a quick stop to get gas and groceries in Växjö, and then we were really on our way home. But it was a fun trip; we played 20 Questions with a Disney theme, had a few ciggy breaks and in general just had such a fun time listening to Maria's daughter's "Åh Abe" CD.
We were back in Roskilde at around 6, and then I just spent the evening unpacking and listening to The Hunger Games audio book.

Sunday Summary

This week has been kinda quiet - both in real life as well as here on the blog.
Nothing special has happened all week; I've been trying to alterate my "Summer vacation sleeping pattern", but that hasn't been going quite as well as I'd hoped. I start school again in two weeks time, and it would be rather nice not to walk around like a zombie because of my messed-up sleeping patterns - did anyone say First World problems, haha?
However, I do have hopes. I don't particularly want to start school again - in a way, this break has been both too long and too short at the same time. But in my hearts of hearts, I do kinda look forward to get back to a normal day, a normal rhythm and in general, just the normal day-to-day life that comes with school.

BUT! I still have a little of break left, and this week I've enjoyed it by sleeping late, watching TV, drinking gallons of coffee, reading good books and stuff like that. However, the absolute high-point of this week had to be Friday, where Kasper and I finally had our Horror Night.
We've been talking about it for over 6 months now, but we finally found the time Friday. Kasper came by at around 6 o'clock, and then we did a quick stop at the store, where we bought chips, candy, milkshakes and frozen pizzas - we went all out on the whole gluttony thing, haha. Then we went back to the flat, waited for the sun to set and started watching horror movies. Although, the word "watching" may be a little much; we had so much fun doing Vines and in general just laughing it up.

The clock kept ticking, as it always does, and little by little we became more and more tired - and at around 5 o'clock we were so tired, that the whole thing seemed like a weird trip, haha. But we had loads of fun, and when Kasper went home at around 7.30 in the morning, it didn't take me long to just crash...

... and well, that was actually Saturday morning. I didn't want to sleep all day, but when I woke up again at around 11.30, I was so confused and messed up, that I crashed again a couple of hours later. Friday I woke up at 7, and when I went to bed again, it was Saturday and 7.30 o'clock. I'm not really all that good at staying up for that many hours - I know; I am really the epiphany of youth these days, haha - so it actually took me all of Saturday to get my head attached to my body again.

But today I'm fine. I got up at 10, ate breakfast and watched a couple of episodes of Buffy. My plans for today ain't heavy; I'm just gonna relax and take it easy. I'm saving my energy for the coming weekend, cause this Friday, Maria and I are having a girls weekend - actually, a mini vacation. We're borrowing the Swedish country house, and it's just gonna be a whole weekend of girly fun; shopping, sunbathing in the garden, movies and glasses of white wine (as always; none for me). I can't wait; we're going to have so much fun. But just as a side note: next weeks Sunday Summary might not be uploaded till Monday - we're driving back home on Sunday evening.

Sunday Summary

It's been a while since I've done one of these, and considering how little I actually have to offer in this "return of the Sunday Summaries", it may not be the best comeback. However, I'm not one for backing down, so let's just dive right in, shall we?

Well, last Sunday I travelled back to Denmark from Sweden by train. It was a very hot day, and the air-condition in the train was, of course, broken. So that wasn't exactly a fun ride. However, it was nice to get back home and back to "normal life", although not a whole lot has happened this week.

I've been Skypeing it up with Kasper most nights, and then Wednesday Maria called. She and her daughter Mel had been at a beach house with their family, but Wednesday the beach fun was over. She called me up rather abrupt and asked if I wanted to do something. Since my plans were to have a Harry Potter movie marathon (I know; I'm living life a little bit dangerously haha) I immediately said yes! Maria and Mel came by, and then we drove down to the harbour and ate some ice creams and enjoyed the blazing sunshine. Then, because it was just a tad too hot to sit in direct sunlight, we drove on back home to my place and grabbed a blanket, some fruit, several bottles of water and headed on down to the lake by my flat. There we sat for hours, just chatting it up, listening to music and having fun, while sweet little Mel enjoyed the sun, the nature and another ice cream.

And, well actually... that's about it. I'm not having the craziest of summers this year, but I actually don't mind that much. It's nice to go to bed at 4 in the morning and sleeping 'till the middle of the day, though it may not be the wildest way of living. But kidding aside though, I do enjoy having the freedom to do whatever I like whenever I like to do it. Because Summer's already over soon; only a couple of weeks left.
But I actually do look forward to get back to school; it'll be nice to get back to a normal rhythm once again - although I'd still like to place a bet on how long I'll be feeling that way, once school starts again :)

Sunday Summary - Evening edition

Hi everybody, hi Sunday!
How are you doing today? I'm doing just fine, but I'm very very tired - I've been hard at work outside in the Swedish garden all day and now is the first we're done with all the chores. So because of that, today's Sunday Summary is very late - I hope you understand.

Anyway, this week was very slow and uneventful up until Friday, where I travelled to Sweden with my folks.
My mum was dropped off by my dad Friday morning, and so therefore we decided on a delicious breakfast. We invited my grandmum by, and the three of us had a very nice couple of hours. When my grandmum left, me and my mum just relaxed for a couple of hours before we took the train to Copenhagen. After a little while, my dad came and picked us up, and then we journeyed to Sweden.
The ride seemed kinda long this time - perhaps because I drove most of the way, perhaps because I hadn't really had so much sleep, or perhaps because it was very hot... I'm sure it's all of the above. Anyway, we arrived at the house at around 9, and after unpacking the car for a while, I just took some time off by myself, relaxing and watching Modern Family.

Yesterday, Saturday, was very hot and sunny. After sleeping in for a while I helped our around the garden for a little while, and then I went for a long bike ride around the Swedish countryside - I stopped by the very idyllic, very Swedish lake and lay in the grass for a while, reading a book. And then I drove on back home, lay in the sun for a while and then just helped out around the house and in the garden.

And today... aaaah, today. Today has been all about doing "chores" outside in the garden. I got up at 9, we ate a nice breakfast outside, and then we started working... and working and working and working. It only became hotter as the day progressed, but I'm not complaining! It was actually very nice just mowing the lawn, arrange the flowerbeds, rake the leaves and so on. Then a little later - or actually not so long ago - I took a quick shower, put on some makeup, and the we walked the short way to Bygdegården - a towns house here in our small, Swedish town, where people take turns hosting every Sunday. There's coffee, delicious cake and good company, and it was, after all, nice with a break from all the garden work. Then, after about an hour of that, we drove to Åseda - the nearest town - to get water, do a little grocery shopping and have a softice.
And now we're finally home, every grocery item is stored, and some of our Swedish neighbors just stopped by. My mum and dad are with them outside in the garden, but I decided to take a break inside the old house, so I could write this post.

Sunday Summary

Yet another week has come and gone, and once again here we are... Sunday.
My week has been great - the perfect combination of staying up late, sleeping till noon and relaxing, and then there has been two awesome days filled with fun times, friends and laughter.

Tuesday my friends Preben, Vineet and of course Maria finished with their last exam, which was Math on an advanced level - phew! They all did great, and the day before, Maria had invited me to come on by and have a few beers (of course no beers for me) and hang out after they were done. So that's what I did! We hung out on a bench in the school yard for a few hours, just laughing and having the time of our lives.

Then Thursday was graduation day for a lot of my friends. We were supposed to see them graduate at the Hotel Prindsen, and then move on over to our school to celebrate further. Maria usually drives to everything, but Thursday she'd like to have a drink or two, so she took the train. I was supposed to meet her at the train station, but her train was delayed for 45 minutes, so that kinda sucked. But it didn't matter, cause when she finally arrived, we walked over to the Hotel Prindsen and met up with some of our friends. Unfortunately, because we were so late, we didn't manage to get a seat, so instead we decided to just walk over to the school and start celebrating. Which we did! Little by little people started showing up, and I got the chance to wish all of my graduation friends congratulations.
Anyway, the gang and I had such fun just sitting outside and chillin', the others drinking champagne and beer - alcohol free cider for me. Maria and I went home at around 9, and then for the rest of the night I just relaxed and took it easy.

So that was what happened this week.

As I said, a lot of relaxation and a lot of fun.

Sunday Summary

Ah how time flies when you're having fun.
Although I've only been on Summer break for a little over a week now, I find it that my routine is already totally screwed up. You know; up all night, sleep until noon. But then again, now is not the time to be sensible - I mean, why not take advantage of the situation when it's right there, right?
But yeah, not a whole lot has happened this week - other than I've enjoyed the freedom and in general just relaxed.

On Tuesday I had a very happy day. The sun was shining and it was hot hot hot. Maria came by after finishing an exam, and so therefore we relaxed with ice coffee, fruit, chocolate, biscuits and ice cream. We had a lovely time; it had actually been quite a while since I'd last seen Maria, so it was just great to see her and hang out once more. 

On Thursday I was sitting on the couch and reading a book, when suddenly my mum called. It was very hot that day, so she asked if she could drop by after work and at the same time take the opportunity to not sit in an overheated train back to Falster. Of course I said "Come on by", so I grabbed my bike and drove to meet her half way.
She stayed for a couple of hours, and so we had a great time just chilling and chatting. It's always lovely to have my mum visit, and this time was no exception. Later in the day, my dad came by to pick up my mum, but before they drove off, they stayed for one last cuppa ice coffee and a ciggy.

Friday was just a nice and relaxing day at home. I'd bought a bottle of S. Pellegrino and just stayed home with a good book. Not a whole lot happened, but I was nice to finally have time to just kick back and read read read. I don't read very often - well, other than homework anyway - because I find I don't have the time. Usually when I sit down with a book - or a TV show - I wanna finish it in one sitting... or at least, I'm trying to get it done in as few sittings as possible. But now I actually do have the time to just kick back, so that's exactly what I did that day.

And today I've been at my grandmum's for a visit. My sister and her kid Selma - my niece - had stopped by for a visit, and so I thought I'd join them and say hello. I love to be on the side line and watch how my niece's just getting bigger and funnier every time a see her. I can't believe she's already almost two and a half; time just flies by. But anyway, I came home about an hour ago, and now I'm just enjoying a cuppa coffee and an episode or two of Lost.

Sunday Summary

Hallelujah I am free again!
Hello, all of you lovely people out there, and hello Sunday. I thought we'd never get here, and the suddenly here we are - again!
Let me start off by saying that I know it has been very quiet here in the Blogosphere for quite some time now, but ah, it's that time a year for finals. And like most other students, I've also been having some. Last week I told you that I passed my German final with a C, and today I can tell you that I passed my Psychology exam on Friday, with a D. No, it's not a fantastic grade, but I did pass! And let me tell you, I doubted if I would.

You see, Thursday I went to the school to randomly pick the subject on which I was going to be examined on, and I ended up picking "Learning & Intelligence" - which was actually pretty okay. Now, it varies form subject to subject and the level you are taking it one, but this exam was a 24 hour exam. It's quite alright if you don't know what it is; it can be a bit confusing. Basically what it is, is that you go to the school's office and randomly pick out a subject - which is hidden in closed envelopes, so you have to rely on fate! Anyway, you pick an envelope and inside is the subject on which you will be examined in - the subject is something that's been taught in class during the year. And then you have 24 hours to prepare everything you know and write a very complicated synopsis - which, I have yet to come across, someone who knows exactly how to do that!
Sounds easy enough, right? Wrong! Normally I don't panic that much over finals, but this year but has been a bit different. I've found myself quite nervous quite often. Although the German exam last week was okay. But the one I was really nervous about was the Psychology one, and boy oh boy did I get nervous. I actually ended up crying in sheer panic and frustrations! So I ended up wasting 4 hours on panicking, but the I finally got down to business and got it done - and were done at around 10 in the evening. There, I decided I would be happy - and lucky - if I passed with a D.

And so Friday came. I was actually pretty relaxed, and even though my exam weren't until 12.30, I decided to drive to school about 10.30. Lucky I did, cause turned out that 2 people didn't how up for their exam. So I could get in and get mine done a lot earlier - at 11! A lot of my friends wouldn't have done that, they've told me, but I just want to get it over with as quickly as possible. And so I did. I wasn't at all nervous; actually I didn't even get to finish, and then the exam was over. And yes, I got a D - which I'm happy about. D - or a 4, as it is on the Danish scale - is for the fair performance, which shows you have knowledge but display a fair few things missing. So that's okay! :)
After my exam it was Julie's turn - she also got a D, and then we went out celebrating our passed exams. We went to my favourite street café and grabbed a delicious bite to eat. We had a lot of laughs and I had a few ciggys, and then after we were done and said goodbye, I drove on home - and crashed on the couch, haha!
In the evening I had such a lovely time; I had an expensive bottle of alcohol free apple cider champagne in the fridge, which I had been saving for when I passed this years finals. So in the evening I poured myself a glass, lit a bunch of candles and watched back-to-back episodes of The Big Bang Theory - such a lovely evening!

But yes, now I'm all done with finals, so once again I have more time for fun and the blog. I actually only have one blog post in mind for next week, but let's see if something else won't come up ;)

Sunday Summary

Ah yes, already Sunday again.
Not a whole lot has happened here on the blog this past week, but as you know I'm currently having my finals. So there hasn't been much time for blogging - or pretty much anything else than study study study.

Tuesday Julie came by so we could study German together, and luckily it went pretty okay for us both. It calmed me down a little, but still...

... by Wednesday I was all over the place with nerves again. But then Thursday morning I got my exam question, and phew, that day wasn't fun! I didn't do much else than work on my exam and panic!

But then Friday morning I felt quite okay, so I drove up to the school, had a ciggy and then went up to my exam. It actually went very okay, and I passed with a C (or in Danish a 7) and I'm very happy about that! :)
Then I drove home, had a victory cuppa coffee, and then at 5 my mum and dad came by. We were all going to my grandpa's birthday party, so not long after they'd arrived, we drove off. It was a nice night, but by then end of it I was soooo tired that I almost couldn't sit up right. So when I got home at around 10, I just crashed!

And then yesterday I got up at 11 - after 13 hours of sleep! - and were ready to get a few things done. I did the laundry, cleaned the apartment, read up on my Psychology exam, re-potted some plants and in the evening I stayed up all night watching all four Scream movies. I didn't get to bed until 5 o'clock in the morning, so actually...

... I just got up an hour ago today! I gotta do something about my sleeping pattern; I still have one exam to go, so I better be on my toes!
Anyway, next Friday I have my last exam, so this coming week there won't be any blog posts either. Just so you know ;)

Sunday Summary

... and on a Monday no less!
It's not very often I forget to write my Sunday Summaries - actually, I think it's only happened once or twice before. But with all that studying for finals, my brain is kinda fried at the moment. I forget the simplest things... it's actually really annoying, and I'm not normally one for panicking over finals. But this year I'm kinda freaking out!
I only have two finals this year; Psychology and German, and they're a week apart. The first one, German, is on Friday, and Psychology is next Friday. I don't know what it is; I think the German one is messing with me because it's a language I can't quite figure out. And the Psychology one... well, I just feel like our teacher has really high expectations and it's gonna be hard to live up to her standards.

Okay, so if I fail, will it be the end of the world? No! But it sure ain't gonna be fun. But I find consolidation in the fact that it's not just me, but a lot of other people too.

Anyway, as I said, my brain is kinda fried from all that studying I've been doing day in and day out. Now I just can't wait for it to be over! But yeah, I don't remember that much - as a whole - of last week. Most days were the same; get up, take a shower, drink a cuppa coffee and then just study, study, study.
However, I did manage to post a few blog pieces last week. Like the one I posted on Tuesday, that told you how to make your own print on a cup. 
I also did a post on Wednesday on how you can make your plant pots a lot more personal with lace.
And then on Thursday I showed you my new shelving unit, which I got a couple of weeks back.

So yeah, not a whole lot is going on at the moment. Well, other than panicking!

Sunday Summary

Hello rainy Sunday!
Well, this week has truly been very uneventful, I must say!
After school ended and the time for exams have started, seems like all I do is read up on my classes and not that much else.
Monday I spent most of the day in the car. Me, my mum and dad were going home after a couple of relaxing days in the Swedish country house. When we finally came to Roskilde and my parents dropped me off, I was so tired from the blazing heat that unpacking seemed almost impossible. Although I did manage in the end.

And now here's the tricky part:
This past week, most days have been looking a lot like each other. So much so, that I've been thrown out of my weekly routines, and sometimes I don't even know what day it is! But most days this past week, I've gotten up, eaten breakfast and then studied for many, many, many hours.
I hate this time of year; everything and everyone is so stressed out over the exams - and I only have two this year! I feel so bad for so many of my graduating friends; most of them have 8 exams... that's just crazy!

Anyway, I do remember Friday. I got up and ate breakfast, took a shower and put on my makeup. And then just as I was about to sit down and open the books, my mum called. She'd been at work, so she asked me if she could drop by for a couple of hours to say hello and wait for my dad, so she could hitch a ride with him.
I gladly invited her to come by - gave me an excuse to postpone the book reading and note taking. We had coffee and just chatted and had a nice time, and then at around 5 my dad dropped by and picked my mum up.
After they left, I decided to push the reading to Saturday, and just have Friday off. So I went out to my tiny bathroom, laid some old newspapers and started re-potting my plants. So messy, but the end result was really great! 

So Saturday, before I started reading, I decided to "share my wisdom" and wrote a post on plants, how to take care of them, and how to re-pot them - you should have a look if you're not certain how to take care of your plants.

And already Sunday again. It's raining today, so I've lit a bunch of candles and turned on all of my small and cozy lamps, and now I'm ready to get down to business - as always I have my trusted pack of ciggys and a fresh pot of coffee on the table... and a small tray of chocolate biscuits ;)

Sunday Summary

For the last few weeks I've been wondering out loud, why time flies when you're having fun. This week is no exception, so let's get right to it and summarize it, shall we?
Monday was my last day of school. It was only two hours, but they felt a little like two hours wasted. We didn't do much other than read in our Psychology book and jolt down a few key words. However, I did have fun in the sun with Julie doing it, so that's at least something. When classes ended, I drove on home and enjoyed the rest of the day with coffee and episodes of Friends - and in general just enjoyed the fact, that I only have 2 exams this Summer!

Tuesday I didn't do much other than the usual when I'm bored; I cleaned a bit, drove to town and did a little shopping, and not much else. But I did do a post on my Mother's Day gift for my mum this year. I couldn't be with her last Sunday, so I had to give her the gift on Friday. She was actually really happy about it, and she's been using the coffee cups every day now. So that's good!

Wednesday Maria came by for morning coffee - the last real cuppa coffee before school this year. Unfortunately she only had about 20 minutes, but luckily she came back later in the day, and stayed for a few hours. Lovely!

Thursday I had my last dentist appointment - as some of you might remember, I've been going through a bitch of a root canal for the last month and a half - but luckily and finally the dentist managed to close it up, so now it's over - for good... well, not for good; I still have to come back in a year and get a crown. But we'll get to that when we'll get to that!
Then after a bit of shopping and window shopping in town, I drove back on home and did a quick post on the dining table in my flat, and then I assembled a new piece of IKEA furniture. I'm pretty happy about it, but it was too hot to really get into the whole thing of re-arranging the furniture - again! - so I put it in a nice way that'll work for now, and then next week I'll really get into it... and show you, of course.

Friday was busy busy busy. I got up at 6, took a shower and put on my makeup, and then at around 7 my mum came by. She'd hitched a ride from my dad who were going to work in the city, and then drove by my place so my mum could visit. You see, later in the day we were all going to Sweden, so I had suggested to my mum that she just came by my place in the morning, so she didn't have to take the long train ride from Falster to Roskilde later. We had a nice time eating breakfast and chatting, and then my grandmum stopped by for a little while.
Then a little later, we walked to town and did some shopping, before we stopped at "our" street café and had an apple cider. Then we took the train to Copenhagen and then walked a little while. We found a great spot in the sun in Glyptotekets Have (a nice garden with pretty flowers) and just enjoyed the warmth and the sun for a few hours. Then we met up with my dad, and then finally we drove on to Sweden. We were at the house at around 9 in the evening, and by then we were all so tired that, after unpacking the car, we just went to bed.

Saturday was soooo warm and sunny, so I just lay in the garden most of the day, soaking up the sun. Actually I've got a hint of a tan now, which really never happens to me. So that's great! Anyway, the most important thing yesterday, was something I've been looking forward to for so long - Eurovision! I've never really been a Eurovision girl until last year, when I started following Melodifestivalen in Sweden - and got hooked. So of course I rooted for Sweden yesterday. Actually, I never even heard the Danish song until last Tuesday, when the first semi final was held. But anyway, Sweden didn't win - unfortunately - but Denmark did. And the Danish song is pretty great, so it's not a total loss. Although I'd like to have seen Robin Stjernberg take home the prize.
But anyway, it was a lovely evening and I ended up going to bed at 5 in the morning...

... so today I slept until 1... crazy! Now I'm just having a cuppa coffee and enjoying the rainy day.

Sunday Summary

Over the last couple of weeks, I've been wondering about how time works and how quickly it flies away. Not to get all philosophical or anything, but over the last couple of Sundays, when I sit down with my cuppa coffee on the table and a lit cigarette in the ashtray, I always feel a bit... well actually, I don't quite know how I feel. But every Sunday it occurs to me how fast time goes by...
... like this week! This week has just passed in a blur. It's not even that I've had an "adventure" every day; just normal, everyday stuff. Like cups of coffee, mentholated cigarettes, friends, school, homework, late-night dinners and so on. But then again; they all make a life. And I'm pretty happy about mine at the moment! :)

Monday we had the day off from school. As a rule at my school, you can only completely graduate if and when you write a final paper in your last year. Next year, around this time, I'll be bitching and moaning, cause by then it's my time to write that paper. But not this year - phew! But still, a lot of people from my Psychology class are graduating this year, so they're in the process of writing that paper. So our teacher decided to give all of us Monday off, so I stayed home and had a nice and relaxing day. I enjoyed the sexy men of Bon Temps (aka True Blood) and did a little cleaning too.

Tuesday was pretty much the same as Monday. Not a whole lot happened; I decided to spend the day doing my laundry - and there was a lot! I'm actually not at all bad a doing the laundry, but this time it just kinda snuck up on me. Luckily I had my headphones with a "Shopaholic" novel in my ears, so it wasn't bad at all.
Oh and by the way, Tuesday was also the day I posted a post about how you make your own Black Pepper Ginger Tea - it's absolutely delicious; if you haven't checked out the post yet, you really should!

Wednesday I got up and got ready for Maria, who, as always, came by for morning coffee. We had a half an hour extra, since she'd managed to leave home early. It's always so lovely to know that Maria's coming by on Wednesdays, although next year, that might not be the case. As far as we can figure, her school schedule and mine don't exactly match. But well, we'll see...
Well, after Maria left I sat down and read some German homework, because 2 hours later - at 1 - I had a German class meeting at school. It was not obligatory, and actually I almost didn't go, but then kinda last minute I decided that it was better than just hanging around at my flat, not doing much. So I went, and at school I met up with my friend Julie, and then class started. We were only 4 who attended, but it was still cool. I'm not so nervous about the exams - yet! I do feel I have quite a good grasp of reality when it comes to the final grade. I don't expect an A+ - or even an A or a B, but I don't expect to fail either. But let's get to that when we get to that!
Anyway, after German class, I said goodbye to Julie and met up with Maria and Preben, who also were at the school. We smoked a few ciggys, talked about everything and nothing, and then it was time for all of us to get on with the day; both Maria and Preben had to pick up each of their daughters at daycare, and so I went out to do a little window shopping.

Thursday, my sister and her boyfriend brought their daughter to my grandmum. Selma, my niece, was supposed to sleep over at my grandmum's, and so I came by to say hello and see my sister, her boyfriend and Selma. Now it's no secret that I'm not great with kids, nor do I actually like them. But finally Selma's gotten to that age where she's so funny, so it's an absolute joy to just sit on the floor and watch children's TV with her, or going down to the lake to feed the ducks - which we did after my sister and her boyfriend left. It was so funny to see that little kid feeding the ducks, and wanting to be carried when the ducks came to close. And as a bonus, I found out that I might be more maternal that I originally thought ;)

Friday morning was a bitch, but I managed to get to school in time for class. It's very obvious that we're getting very close to the end of this year - we didn't do much in class other than just talk a bit about exam anxiety and so on. I was pretty bored, but the thought of this school year ending tomorrow makes it manageable to tolerate, haha. And also, to pass the time in class, I took out my iPad Mini and browsed the shops a bit - and ended up buying a lovely dress... woops!
After school I stopped by a shop to buy some nice yellow roses, and then I went down to Roskilde Library, where I met up with the guys from the old gang - and Maria. They have a math class together, so they'd met up to get a report done - or something like that, I'm actually not quite sure ;) Anyway, I stayed for a ciggy and a chat, and then I drove on home.
In the evening I had a loooong phone conversation with Kasper. You won't believe this, but yesterday he actually took a plane to Peru, where he's gonna work as a volunteer in the Peruvian jungle - for two months! That's just so crazy, but also just so great for him! I can't believe he ain't gonna pick up the phone, or log on to Skype or even drop by for a cuppa tea for the next 8 weeks. But I'm very happy for him - and I also really envy him, haha ;)

Saturday was pretty quiet. I did some re-arranging of some of my furniture, watched a movie and cleaned my kitchen from top to bottom. Luckily I love cleaning; it's kinda like my hobby (haha). And I did have the "Shopaholic Ties The Knot" audiobook on in the background, so I actually enjoyed myself rather much. And then finally today. I don't actually have any plans for today other than homework for tomorrow. I think I'll go for a run in a minute or two, and then just see where the day takes me.

Sunday Summary

Already Sunday? Again? Weren't we just here a mere couple of hours ago? Well, of course we weren't, but lately, the weeks just seem to go by in a blur. Not that that's a bad thing - if anything, it's the best. Although it makes it harder to write the Sunday Summaries, since I find it hard to remember every day this past week.
However, I do remember a little of Monday. Schoolwise, this past week hasn't been so great. I've been cutting classes all week, which I really do feel bad about. Especially since we're so close to exams. But then again, there's not much to do about it now, so it is what it is. But it is stupid!
Anyway, this week started out kinda slow and uneventful, but by the end it got way better! 


Tuesday I had a dentist appointment, and after that I stayed home and watched back-to-back episodes of Desperate Housewives. Then I pulled my own version of Bree Van de Kamp and made my own home made marinated feta cheese. It is the easiest thing in the world - and let me tell you, it's delicious!

Wednesday was busy busy busy. I had morning coffee with Maria, and then after endless cups of coffee we drove off to the school. I had an appointment with the student office to arrange my school schedule for next years classes. Then after 40 minutes of that, Maria and I took a stroll around town, after which we decided to grab a bite to eat and sat down by a street café. After we were done eating, we went back to the school and smoked a couple of ciggys. We actually had an open course about exam anxiety to go to, but before that I had to run by my dentist real quick. That place must run their office based solely on me paying their bills by now! Well, anyway... it only took about 5 minutes, and then I went back to school and met up with Maria and my friend Nadia, who were also attending the course.
It was actually Maria who signed me up for the meeting; I don't really have that much exam anxiety - don't get me wrong, I do get nervous, but not to the point of fainting or anything. But when Maria told me about the course, I'd asked her if she could sign me up. I figured it might be a good idea, regardless of how I feel about exams. It took about 2 hours and I didn't really get much out of it, but luckily Maria, Nadia and the others did. And I did get a lot of tricks if it gets too bad before an exam.
Then after we were done, Maria and I went outside where we met up with some of the guys from the old gang. We shared a few laughs and cigarettes, and then when it was time for the guys and Maria to go to math, I went home - and enjoyed what was left of the day.

Friday was the absolute best day this week. I had a party for the old gang, and for once, everybody came! Maria came by first, and we stayed in smoking cigarettes and colouring her hair, and then before long Kasper came by. We went outside in the sun, and then all at once, the rest of the gang arrived.
We had such fun; playing pétanque, smoking cigarettes, eating Thai food and drinking beer (as always water for me). Then when the guys started to freeze, we went upstairs to my flat where the party continued.
It was such a fun night, but boy was I tired the next day...

... So Saturday I slept to 11, and then hung out for a couple of hours; smoking endless ciggys and drinking coffee. When I finally got over my "hangover" at around 3, I just got so energized that I started to do some of the Spring cleaning and rearranging some furniture - not much, just some small things. However, it ook 6 hours, and when I was done it was around 11 PM.

And here we are again; Sunday. I came to bed late last night, but I actually got up at around 8 today. I've just done some grocery shopping, and now I'm enjoying a strong cuppa coffee and a sexy episode of True Blood.

Sunday Summary

First of all; sorry for the late Sunday Summary this week - I've been driving home from Sweden most of the day, and I didn't have the chance to write the post yesterday. But now it's here, so let's get started:
Monday was busy busy busy. I woke up a bit late, but managed to get to school okay. After school I had a doctors appointment, but I had a little time to kill, so I went thrift shopping with my friend Nadia. I also bought a lot of new canvases, so that I could paint a little again.
Then I went to the doctor and got my HPV vaccine, and on the way to the pharmacy, I realized that I'd forgotten my bag with paint and canvases, so I had to rush back. But after I ran my errands in town, I finally managed to get home, where I enjoyed the rest of the day with Desperate Housewives, a couple of Twilight movies, and then I painted late into the night.

Luckily I had Tuesday off, so I decided to sleep in - something I never do, because when I get too much sleep, I just get so groggy for the rest of the day. Otherwise, not much happened that day. I managed to hang my newly painted paintings...

... Which I did a little post on on Wednesday. Same Wednesday, Maria stopped by a couple of times. First she came by for coffee in the morning, and then she had some cancelled classes, so she dropped by again. Really lovely! Otherwise I didn't do much, but I did start packing for Sweden...

... Because Friday is a national day in Denmark, Store Bededag (or "Great Prayer Day" - loosely translated), so my mum and dad had asked me if I wanted to go with them to Sweden for a few days. So Thursday I met up with them, and then we drove on to the Swedish country house. We ended up leaving Denmark late, so of course we also ended up arriving at the house late.

But then Friday, after we'd rested, it was a new day and we had a few projects. A lot of trees in our small valley had been  cut down a couple of weeks ago, so me and my dad had to remove all of the remaining branches and such. Doesn't sound like a big deal, but let me tell you - it was really hard! And we'd might only gotten rid of 10% of the waste. So that's an ongoing project for the rest of the Summer.
Anyway, in the evening I managed to do a little German homework for school, and then I ended up staying up most of the night. They had a late showing of the movie "Changeling" which I've never seen - I always thought it wouldn't be my cuppa tea. But it was really a great movie, so now I'm going DVD bargain hunting to find it!

Saturday was a little like Friday. A lot of work in the valley, and then a lot of German homework. But I managed to get it all done, so now I just have to email my teacher the paper, and then I just have to wait for the exam - sigh!

And then today. We managed to get out of the door in real good time, so I was home at my flat at around 1. So for the last couple of hours I've been unpacking, and just now I've taken a long shower. Now I'm going to water my plants, do a little cleaning, do my homework and then I'll have a piece of cake and watch an episode of Desperate Housewives.

Sunday Summary

Last week's Sunday Summary was very very heavy, and not all that positive. I'd suffered through a hell of a week with tooth ache and dentists, and my mood really wasn't great.
But ah, what a difference a week makes! This week has been absolutely great!
Monday started with school, where me and my group had a presentation due for class. It all went okay, and after school I drove home in the blazing sunshine and enjoyed the rest of the day. I also had a long talk with Maria over the phone; I hadn't heard from her over the weekend, since she'd been in Ireland visiting her brother. We arranged a whole girls day on Thursday, but I'll get to that.

Tuesday I expected to be down a bit, since I had yet another dentist appointment, and I didn't really expect good results. Last Friday I was in the chair for 90 minutes getting a root canal, and it just wouldn't go as planned. So by Tuesday, I hoped for the best but planned for the worst. Luckily though, everything went great , and even though it was a bit of a hassle, it looks like we're finally almost there. I just have to go back again the 30th to check if everything is okay, and if it is, it looks like I'm finally over this whole tooth-hell! Lucky thing is, that I, fortunately, don't fear being at the dentist.
When I came home I was in the greatest mood ever, so by evening I decided to watch my all-time favourite movie - Sound of Music of course - and did a little post about it. Actually I did the same kind of post last year, so I thought it would be funny to do one again this year. 

Then Wednesday came, and I finally got to see Maria again! She told me all about her trip over a cuppa coffee, and then a little later she drove on over to school, and I had the rest of the day off. I did a little cleaning, read up on all of the blogs I'm following and I made a new Yum-Yum post, where I told you how you make red apple iced tea with caramel rum. A little later in the day my mum called and asked if I wanted to meet up with her in town, so I quickly jumped on my bike and drove to meet her. We had a lovely time browsing the shops and sitting outside in the Spring sun, and then a little later my dad picked us up and drove me home.

TGIWT - thank good it was Thursday! Cause I'd been looking forward to that day since Monday, where Maria and I had made the deal of having a girls day all day. So by morning Maria came by, and we drank coffee, smoked ciggys and drank home made strawberry smoothies. We had such a fun time, and luckily the weather was okay, so we drove down to the harbour and walked Maria's dog Sofus, all the while smoking more ciggys and eating very expensive Oreo ice creams. Then we drove on back home where I made salmon sandwiches, and then a little later, Maria was on her way back home.

Then by Friday, there was some kind of disconnect between my mind and my body. My mind was all ready to go to school, but my body just wanted to crash - and so, unfortunately, my body won. I slept for many hours, and when I finally woke up at around 6, I enjoyed the night with a couple of Adam Sandler movies - yes, I know they're kinda silly, but they always make me laugh - and then a couple of episodes of Desperate Housewives.

Saturday was sunny and warm, so a little while after I woke up and made my face, I went out for a long walk. Then I was very lazy for a couple of hours, just lying on the sofa and watching Desperate Housewives. Then I finally got up, cleaned the bathroom - and I'm talking the whole shebang; washing the tiles, getting in to every corner and so on. I always hate my teeny tiny bathroom, but yesterday I was glad it wasn't any bigger, haha. Then I did a little pillow talk here at the blog, and in the evening I watched a couple of Twilight movies. It's been so long since I've watched them. I don't quite know how I actually feel about that whole Twilight franchise. I mean, on the one hand I think they're really dumb and sappy romantic, not to mention that I always get soooo annoyed by Bella/Kristin Stewart... on the other hand I've always loved the whole Vampire thing. So I remain, as I've always been, torn when it comes to Twilight.

And already it's Sunday again! I'm spending the day with the Desperate Housewives of Wisteria Lane, catching up on some homework and then... who knows!

Sunday Summary

Well, it's Sunday again, but unlike most weeks, this week has been kind of hellish. A lot of it was spent at the dentist, and the other days were filled with toothache and a bad mood. But I'll get to that.
First, let's start with Monday. I was supposed to go to school and work in a group on a presentation, but I had a horrible toothache, so much so that I couldn't go anywhere and just had to stay home in bed.

Tuesday was pretty much the same. I actually missed the last session of German in Copenhagen, which really sucked. Once again I just stayed in and felt sorry for myself.

By Wednesday, I felt so horrible that I had to make an emergency appointment with the dentist. A little later in the day, I was once again in the chair, and they told me that it actually wasn't the missing wisdomtooth that hurt, but the tooth right next to it. Something about a huge cavity that needed to be fixed right away.

So when Thursday arrived, I once again found myself in the dentist chair. She had to start an emergency root canal, which wasn't that fun. Although it helped a bit, I still have to suffer and pay two huge dentist bills this month!

And then by Friday, I went to school for a couple of hours, and then a quick stroll around town with Julie, before I once again headed for the dentist. This time, however, was the worst one of them all - so far anyway. I was supposed to be in and out in about 30 minutes, but I ended up lying in that damn chair for 90 minutes! My dentist said she had never experienced a root canal so difficult, which means I have to come back for at least two more sessions.

I'm really getting sick if those damn dentists, and I won't lie, it has gotten to me a lot this weekend. I was supposed to go to Marie's birthday party yesterday, but I just felt horrible and couldn't go anywhere.

It has been a pretty lousy weekend; this whole tooth hell has really gotten to me. Although today my mood is a bit better than it has been for the past couple of days, so now I'll put on an episode of Sex and the City, make myself a strawberry smoothie and then take a shower.

Sunday Summary

I'm always surprised when Sunday arrives and I'm starting a new Sunday Summary. The weeks go by so fast, and I sometimes feel that the only way of keeping track that yet another week is over, is to summarise them here. Don't get me wrong, I love the fact that - most weeks - so many things happen, that it's sometimes hard to remember it all, but still... as I get older and older, it sometimes frightens me a bit how fast time flies. BUT! - that's a whole other issue which everybody, well most anyway, deals with at some point I guess. So let's stay happy here, and let me tell you a bit about the week I've had:

Monday was Easter and April 1st - which normally, in my family, is a big deal - well, it's mostly my dad that gets caught up in it, haha. But other than that, it was also the last day of Easter vacation, which meant that it was time to go home. So my mum, dad and I packed the car and drove on home, but made a quick stop at IKEA on the way. I got a few things; a new tablecloth, a retro iron basket and a matching candle stick - which I'm showing you next week! And then it was just out on the road again, and then by 3 I was back home. I unpacked my things and had a cup of coffee, but then the most unpleasant thing happened. I knocked on my neighbour's door with a question - and here it's important to mention that he's a tad old - anyway, we talked for about 20 seconds, and then he just collapsed. I freaked out for about 5 seconds before I ran back to my apartment and got my phone, called 911 (or 112 as it is the emergency number here in Denmark) and got an ambulance out here. They came after 10 minutes, so I had to stay with him and make sure he was okay and breathing - which luckily he was. When the paramedics came they took care of him, asked me a couple of questions and then drove him to the hospital. After that I called his grown daughter and told her what happened, which I think made her very glad. And after that I was pretty shaken up for a few hours. Not to make myself out to be some kind of big hero, but it's "nice" to know that I didn't - and hopefully wont in the future - panic and shut down in such situations.
- Side note: My neighbour came home from the hospital the next day, and he was okay again. So it's some kind of happy ending.

By Tuesday I was okay again, but really couldn't figure out what the day would bid me. I was supposed to go to the city to take my German class, but I think it was cancelled. I never really found out, cause both their homepage and phone lines were down, and my teacher had written an email a few days before, saying he was on vacation. So I decided to stay home, in stead of travelling to Copenhagen only to go back again. I cleaned the apartment - something it really needed - and unpacked the last few things from vacation in Sweden.

Wednesday Maria and I had coffee - we have to honour the tradition, haha! As always it was great to see her again, and even though we only had a couple of hours, we still managed to get a lot of talking done. When she had to leave for school, I hitched a ride to town, where we parted and I went to Søstrene Grene and bought art supplies before going to the dentist. I had to get a wisdom tooth removed - my first and hopefully last. I was pretty nervous, but as always I got worked up over nothing. The surgery was no big deal at all, and I was a-ok for the rest of the day. After the dentist I went to the drug store to get my prescription filled, and then I walked home in the Spring sun.
When I got home, I was very surprised that I didn't feel bad at all, so after a quick ciggy, I unpacked my new purchases and started painting.

And then by Thursday morning, the paintings had dried and were ready to be hung. I got up at 7 - on my day off!!! - so I had to wait a couple of hours to hang them, but then when I did, it ended up looking awesome - take a look for yourselves here!
The rest of the day I spent doing my homework, drinking a few cups of coffee and watching a whole lotta Beverly Hills 90210, and then when night came I suddenly felt very very awful. So that evening was cut in half, when I had to take a few painkillers and going to bed early.

By Friday morning I felt so bad that I couldn't even stand up without feeling dizzy. I had to knock back even more painkillers and spent most of the morning in bed. It didn't get any better, so I couldn't even go to school - which actually was a shame, cause I'm climbing the walls here; I'm so bored. Because of that stupid wisdom tooth I can't do anything; I can't take a walk or work out, I can't ride my bike to town to do a little window shopping... nothing! 
However, I've been keeping myself busy with a little bit of blogging, and Friday I posted two blog pieces with discount codes - one for H&M and one for Ellos.  

Saturday I didn't feel that much better, and I ended up sleeping till noon. I hate it when that happens. It did turn a little better for a couple of hours, where I managed to get a lot of things done; homework, blogging, doing the laundry and paint a bit. It was nice to get it done, but then by evening I started to feel sick again.
I've never had a wisdom tooth removed, but I'm so glad that my other 3 are fine - cause this toothache hell, I can sure live without!

But today is a new day, and I'm feeling a little better.

Luckily I managed to get everything important done yesterday,

so today I only have to do my homework for tomorrow

and then I have the rest of the day off.

Sunday Summary

When I'm on holiday, I always wonder where the time flies off to. I mean, I feel like I've just witten a Sunday Summary, and here I am again, writing yet another one. Oh well, I guess that's just how things are. Anyway, it's Sunday yet again, so let's get started with this weeks Sunday Summary.

 

I know it's been very quiet here for the past week, but I've just forgotten all about the real world and relaxed - well, most of the time anyway. From Monday to Wednesday I was burried in homework. I had a lot of German homework to do, both for school in Roskilde and school in Copenhagen. Luckily I managed to get it all done, and then...

 

... Thursday, I could suddenly celebrate 2 years sober. It's so weird to remember my life back when I was an alcoholic - it's like a whole other life. Anyway, now I'm happier than ever, and it's all thanks to not drinking alcohol. That day we took a quick trip to Växjö and then later a drive though the Swedish countryside. So lovely.

 

Friday was a quiet day. My mum and dad had the neighbors over in the evening, and I just stayed in, drinking coffee and watching Beverly Hills 90210 by the fire. Here in Sweden - and Denmark too - we're celebrating Easter this weekend, but there's no sign of Spring weather outside. There's loads af snow on the ground, and it's been snowing every day since we came here last Friday. Don't get me wrong, it is very pretty and idyllic to look at, and it is nice to light up a fire in the fireplace BUT I just want Spring already. For crying out loud, tomorrow's April 1st! Oh well, unfortunately the weather is one thing you just can't control.

 

Yesterday was very lazy. I stayed in most of the day - apart from taking a quick walk in the sunshine with my mum - and relaxed. I watched a lot of Beverly Hills 90210 and took a nap - haha, I can't even remember how long it's been since I've taken a nap in the middel of the day without being sick. Anyway, I sure am living on the Wild side ;)

 

And yes, it's already Sunday again. Today the plan is to pack, cause we're going home tomorrow - such a shame, although I am kinda looking forward to get back home to my own place. But I still wouldn't say no to another weeks vacation, haha.

Sunday Summary

Last Sunday, the Sunday Summary was very short and heavy with negativity - which actually is quite understandable, since I was way sick with a bad case of the flu. Actually, I've been sick most of this week - and still kinda am, although it is getting a lot better.
Anyway, since I still felt very bad on Monday, I stayed home and just slept and slept and slept. The "funny thing" about me is, that I very seldom get sick - you know, real sick - but when I do, I'm absolutely useless. I can't do anything but sleep, drink lots of tea and have an occasional ciggy. Anyway, Monday and Tuesday, that's pretty much all what happened, so let's skip those days, shall we?

Anyway, since we're skipping Monday and Tuesday, that leaves us with Wednesday and so on. Maria, the best girlfriend you could wish for, insisted on dropping by Wednesday morning to check up on me and she'd brought homemade chokolate cake - such a lovely girl! Anyway, I wasn't feeling all that well, but we still enderd up having a lovely time - as always. Actually, she stopped by later in the day too. Most of me and Maria's meet-ups consist of coffee, cigarettes - and lately - lots and lots of cake, haha. Anyway, Wednesday was no exeption, and it was so nice and lovely to see her again before 10 days of Easter vacation.

Thursday was pretty boring. Since I was going to school and then Sweden on Friday, I stayed in and did all of the things that needs to be done before vacation. So I packed a big bag, cleaned my apartment a bit and all that jazz.

And the Friday was the big show. Since I'd been home sick for over a week, I was a little worried about my energy levels, but luckily they held up okay. Anyway, I took the bus to school, bought some flowers for my mum and chokolates for my dad and then I went to class. It was okay. Not much to talk about, same as always. Although the gang and I did have fun down at our table. Anyway, after class I went to the train station and met up with my mum, and then we took the train to Valby where we grabbed a bite to eat and then met up with my dad. And then it was time to go to Sweden. As always the trip is about 4-5 hours long, and then there's the matter of unpacking the car in utter darkness BUT... when all of that is done, then vacation can start!

And so it did. I actually got up pretty early yesterday, even though we didn't have any plans. So I stayed in most of the day and watched Beverly Hills 90210 and read the new IKEA catalouge, and then I drove to town with my dad for an hour or so. So not much to report there.

And now it's already Sunday again - where does the time go, I wonder.

Anyway, today ain't gonna be fun since I'm spending most of today

and the next couple of days on that darn German homework I've been neglecting for the past week.

So y'all have a lovely Spring Sunday; I'm gonna put over a pot of coffee and get ma' grove on!
