White in Göteborg

Ah, already Sunday again? This week has just gone by so fast.
I always rush on Sundays; I have to clean, do the laundry, do my homework, do my nails and wash my hair. Not much, perhaps, but it's been my routine for years. So I'll quickly bring you this amazing Göteborg apartment - by the way, it really has been a Swedish kind of week here at f&f, hasn't it? I'm crazed with white apartments at the moment, but they can't be too white. That's why I love this place; the soft details like the wooden dining table or the book shelf with coloured books just make the whole place seem cosy.
Happy Sunday to you!

Happy glow in Stockholm apartment

It's Saturday - woohoo! Have anything fun planned this weekend? I think I'll just lounge around and take it easy, but of course there's also that pesky homework to do. But I think I'll save it for tomorrow. However I went to the library yesterday and borrowed a book, so I think I'm just going sit on the couch, with a good cuppa tea and rad all day.
Today I wanted to show you - yet another - Swedish apartment in Stockholm. I love the fact that the place is kept white, but the yellow details make it so much fun, and the greyish furniture make a nice, soft touch to the place.
Have just the best Saturday ever, my dear Internet friends!

Autumn Apples

Yesterday I told you that Autumn is my favourite season. I don't know why exactly, but I guess it makes sense. I do like Summer with the green grass and trees and the blue sky, but I've never been one for the heat or the long nights. I like the fact that it gets colder and darker when we hit the middle of September. I also love the fact that you don't have to pay for apples - or at least, I don't. My grandmum has her own apple tree, so I get apples every day. Once I made a pie, but most days I make an organic apple iced tea.

Here's some apple inspiration from IKEA

Pale and cosy in Stockholm

Once again it's Autumn - my favourite season! There's nothing better (for me) than to come home to a nice, clean and warm apartment, make myself a cuppa tea and sit down with an episode of a funny TV-show. However, if I had this Stockholm apartment, I don't think I'd ever get out the door. You might not get "cosy" at first look, but the very clean lines of the apartment is softened with sheepskin furs and rugs, which create the need to just snuggle up on the couch with a good book. Happy day to you!

Terrific Tuesday

Today is my day off, and right now I should be hard at work on an essay for my Danish class. In stead, I'm relaxing on the couch with a cuppa cappuccino, which I'm drinking from my new Normann Copenhagen cup.
A couple of weeks back I bought some Normann Copenhagen cups from Bahne (a Danish home decor store), which I have been using as plant pots for my small Succulents. I didn't quite have enough though, so a couple of hours ago, I found myself back in home decor heaven. I ended up buying 4 more cups, but I also "accidentally" bought some new silver candlesticks.

Looks lovely, right? Here's how they look in my apartment:

I had one cup left, so now that one is officially my new cappuccino cup.
Have an absolutely fantastic Tuesday evening, I'll see you tomorrow

A white home in Göteborg, Sweden

I go through different phases of colour in my apartment. Lately I'm obsessed with white and black, but still with a hint of softer colours like brown or maybe a pale blue? This Göteborg apartment is very to my liking; I like the fact that the white is toned down with warmer colours in the small accessories - like the pillows and candles. Enjoy, and have a happy Tuesday.

The silver lining

The weekend is almost over, which can make anyone a little blue.
But in stead of being blue, then why not try to find the silver lining? And while we're at it, why not try silver in your home?
Copper is all the rage right now, but silver is a nice alternative. While copper gives the impression of warmth, silver creates the feel of style and flair, plus it goes great with a white room with black details.

Changes all around

Hello Internet friends

It's been a long time since I've blogged, and I'm sorry for that.
Towards the end, I had gotten so tired of the whole blogging deal, so I just needed a nice long break to think things over, and consider if I should close the blog down. However, every time I thought seriously about closing f&f, I just couldn't bring myself to do it.
The blog has been so many different things; a fashion blog, a DIY blog, a food blog, an interior design bog and what have you. That's nothing on what the blog has been for me; a nice place on the Internet where I could display my different passions during different stages of my life.

But yes, it has been a little touch-and-go on the whole blogging thing; with all the thoughts of closing down f&f and start a new blog - and finding out if I even had the time for a blog - I decided to just let things be the way they are, and let f&f take a back seat in my life.

HOWEVER! With a little over a month since I last visited the blog, I've come to see that I missed it. But I wanted to make some changes - actually, I've wanted that for a while. If you're a follower from way back, you probably know that f&f started out as a plus size blog, but that's far from what it is today - and what it will become in the future.

So I've decided to give the blog a whole new, clean and fresh makeover. Many things have changed, but in a way they still feel the same. But yes, it is time for changes, and here are some of the thoughts I have in mind, concerning f&f:

  • I'm thinking of turning this blog into a interior design blog. That means that I will post a lot more pictures of pretty homes - including my own - and maybe bring you a couple of DIY's once in a while.
  • I'm also thinking of dropping the "Sunday Summaries" completely. Even though I know they were the most read posts (apart from discount code posts) I just don't feel like I have the time for them any more. In stead I'm going to make "Life Lately" posts, where I blog about what's going on in my life at the moment. They won't be weekly, but I'm sure there will be at least a couple a month.
  • One thing that won't change, however, are the Discount Code posts. I know a lot of you love them - including myself - so they will still be here every month.
So that's it!
I hope you're okay with the changes - and still; nothing's written in in stone ;) I will still blog about everything and nothing - and things in between - but this was just a heads up to all of you, my most loyal and lovely followers.

Have an absolutely fantastic day, and I guess I'll see you soon
