Double Black And A Nice Knit

There's just something so nice about the end of October. When finally all of the leaves have turned, and it's getting very cold and rainy outside.
It's nice when you're inside. When you're outside - not so much.
Today it was very cold and raining a lot, so I decided on a warm outfit for the day. I've borrowed the warp from my grandmum, but I was actually the one to give it to her last winter. It's so nice and warm, and today really has been a cold one, so the wrap came in handy in the classroom earlier today.
Otherwise today has been good. After class I bought the cutest cookie jar, which I'm going to show you soon.
But not now. Now I'm going to get my chem on and have a cup of coffee.
Happy Monday!

Sunday Summary

Ah, once again it's Sunday, which means that once again it's time for yet another Sunday Summary.
This week has certainly not been all about school. Despite a week of vacation in Sweden, I just haven't gotten around to attend school that much this week.
Monday was the first day I didn't go to school. I slept in and thought "Hey, it's okay, it's just today" - the fact that it rhymed just made it more fun, haha.

Anyway, Tuesday I actually did go to school. The day started out with a morning coffee date with Maria, and later we drove to school. We only just managed to get to school in time for class, but in spite of that I had the best day ever. Kasper, Maria and I laughed our way through class that day, and when school ended, Maria and I drove home to my place. We had the whole day together, and so she started her homework and I made coffee, served cookies and smoked cigarettes. Later I made dinner, and she drove home a little past 6.

Wednesday I had the day off, so I stayed in and cleaned the apartment - one of my favourite activities, haha. I just love the way the place sparkles after a good clean. I also managed to blog a little that day. I've been spending a lot of money this month, so I thought I'd show you my purchases - you can find the post here.

Thursday, I had everything ready for school, and then I overslept. Gosh I was so annoyed with myself the rest of the day. So silly.

And then Friday I woke up with a terrible cold, so I stayed home that day too.
So no, there haven't been much school about this week - and it has really affected my attendance. But well, at least now I'm rested haha.

But yes, this was this weeks Sunday Summary.
Now I'm going to do my homework so it's done,
and I can have the rest of the day off to do whatever. Happy Sunday!

Liebster Award

So I've been nominated for a interwebz blogger award called "The Liebster Award" by one of my lovely followers Dionne from Supersize my Fashion.
There are some rules; among them that you should pass the award on to other "promising bloggers with less than 200 followers" but as it is, I don't really know any. This in itself is a bit embarrassing, but about 6 months or so ago, I had to cut way down on my blog reading, and so I don't really have any bloggers to pass the award on to.
However, even though I might be breaking the rules here, I do think it's a really nice gesture, and I'm very happy to get the award.
As a part of the "challenge" you have to ask some questions to the bloggers you pass the award on to, but there's also some questions to answer from the blogger who gave you the award.
And so, even if I'm not the best person to receive something like this, I thought it might be fun to answer the questions Dionne gave me.
So here we go:

1. What inspired you to start your own blog?
- I guess it was just to try it out. I knew I had to blog about something I found interesting, and at that time it was fashion. Today this blog contains much more than just fashion, and it's exactly like I've always wanted it to be.
2. What are your favorite places to shop?
- I'm a huge online shopper. I buy everything on the internet, and the only time I buy something in a real store is when I'm in Sweden. I love Asos, ModCloth, New Look and Lindex.
3. What's your guilty pleasure?
- I have many. Of course there's always sneaking food from the fridge after midnight and letting the dishes stay in the sink for one more day. But the biggest guilty pleasure must be online shopping.
4. When getting dressed, is there an item you built the rest of your outfit around? If so, what is it?
- Yes and no. It depends on so much. If anything, I go for the complete look in general.
5. What do you usually wear on your day off, around the house?
- I like looking pretty even though I'm alone. I always wear a little makeup, and around this time a year, a nice thick cardigan, black leggings and my oh-so-beloved fauxfur slippers.
6. Favorite thing to do in your spare time?
- Haha, here comes that online shopping again. But also, I lovelovelove to clean and decorate my apartment.
7. Single, in love, engaged or married?
- I'm as single as they come, and I'm not looking for anyone.
8. What's your favorite movie?
- I guess if you go by how many times I've seen it (and sobbed to it), it must be Titanic. A classic!
9. Is there a saying or phrase you live by? If so, what is it?
- Uh I have many. All of them are positive. But I guess the best one is just to take it one day at the time. A mantra I used when I stopped drinking, and it's still burned into my mind.
10. If you had three wishes, what would you wish for?
- According to one of my favourite childhood movies, Aladdin, you can't wish for more wishes. But if I had 3, I guess I'd wish for more money, so I could pay off all of my loans. I would also wish I had more tattoos. And then finally I'd wish I had a bigger apartment.
- Oh, and of course, the winning answer, "World Peace" - although I'd actually love that!
11. If you had the opportunity to style a celebrity (female), who would you style?
- I would love to try to style the late Amy Winehouse. Not that she would've needed it!

So there you have it. I might not be the best at following rules, but at least I had fun doing this :)

Ich Bin So Verliebt In Meine Musik

Calling out all of my German followers and Facebook likers.
As some of you may know, I'm currently brushing up on my German. And by total coincidence I stumbled upon this beautiful cover on Youtube last night. Apparently there's some artist named Cro who made a song called "Meiner Musik", and this talented girl made a cover of it. I gave the original version a listen, but it wasn't really for me. But this cover totally is.
And so I've decided to share it with you. I've made myself the promise that by Summer I should be able to sing this song - yes, in German. It's a bit of a goal to stride after, but I'm trying, haha.
So give it a listen if you want to. This girl has an amazing voice - and super cute hair ;)

- And no, I do not know her or post this video so she can have more hits. This is purely about the beautiful song and her lovely voice

Mama Spent Money When She Had None

Hello to you all, and thanks for still checking in. I haven't been the best blogger lately, but I almost feel kind of tapped out of creativity - blogging wise. But you can, as always, count on the Sunday Summaries.
Anyway, this month I've been a little too good using my credit card. That's never a good thing, but then again, the result of it are so many pretty things that now are mine. I thought I'd show you some of the things I've bought this month. So let's get at it, shall we?

I was real exited to get the parcel containing this awesome leather jacket. I've actually sneaked many peeks at New Look, just to fall even more in love with this jacket. When I finally decided to buy it, it were no longer on the site, but luckily they brought it back a month or so later. I immediately put it in my cart and so the first "few" ponds were spend.

Along with the jacket, I also ordered this super cute little polka dot wallet. Much like the jacket, I'd sighed over this little beauty for a while, and when I finally ordered the jacket, I threw this in to the cart as well. Luckily this wasn't expensive at all, and I really love it.

A couple of days later, I was looking at my new favourite site; ModCloth. They have suck lovely vintage inspired clothes and accessories, but they also have an amazing home department. That's where I found this keepsake board, that I simply couldn't resist. It's a bit smaller than I'd expected, but it actually looked bigger once I put some stuff on it.

Also at ModCloth, I found these super cool Scrabble fridge magnets. I've been looking for some Scrabble magnets for 10 years, and there they were - just waiting for me. And now here they are - brightening up my otherwise boring fridge.

The last thing I bought at ModCloth was this little - and might I add 'super cute' - squirrel door stand. The price actually surprised me in a good way, cause it wasn't expensive at all.
All the things from ModCloth came in a BIG box on Monday. Not only was it super unhandy to carry on my bike, but also, the parcel had been searched through customs, and I got a huge fee. So even though the things in them selves were at okay prices, the whole thing ended up costing me a whole lotta money. But now that I've gotten over the chock and the things are "up and running", I'm really happy with them and (almost) don't recent myself for my shopping so much this month :)

Sunday Summary

Ah, after a long day of driving back home to Denmark, it's time for this week's Sunday Summary.
The week started out in Sweden. I spend the most of the start of the week doing a lot of German homework. That's basically what I did all Monday...

... and Tuesday too. And actually also Wednesday. But I finally managed to get it all done, I'm so happy. That means that I don't have to worry about handing in papers or done assignments until February! Yes, it's so nice.
Wednesday I took a little walk around the house and took some pictures of this nice Fall we've been having lately. You can find the post here.

Thursday and Friday, after I was done with all that bloody German, I helped out around the house and in the garden. Me and my dad managed to chop a lot of wood for the fireplace, which is always nice for when it gets really cold up here. Friday evening my mum and dad had the  neighbours over for dinner and drinks, and I stayed up in my room and enjoyed myself with a nice, big piece of cake and the last instalment of the Harry Potter movies. I had a pretty nice time, but I got to bed waaaay to late, haha.

Yesterday I once again helped out outside, where we managed to get the last couple of things done. Otherwise I just packed my things and got ready for the long journey home...

... which was today. We've been driving most of the day, only to do a quick stop at IKEA. Otherwise I'm finally home, and now I just need to get the "strenght" to unpack my things and do my homework for tomorrow.

Anyway, I know there hasn't been much posting going on this past week, but I hope you'll understand.
You guys have a lovely Sunday - or what's left of it anyway.

Night Time Posting

Hello and good evening all you lovely people.
Apologies for the gaps in posting this week, but as you know, I'm on holiday in Sweden at the moment. It's so lovely being up here, although it's not all fun and games. But threat not, it's not as bad as it sounds.
Although I've been, what seems a bit like, slaving over a lot of my German homework, yesterday I finally - finally - managed to get it all done. For the past 5 or so days, I've been reading about 70 pages in German, but I do feel I'm loads better now. And the best part is, that now that the assignments for the next 3 months are done, next time I have a due date is in February. Pretty totally awesome.

Since I've finished my homework, I had a lot more time to help my mum and dad around the house. It all looks pretty idyllic from the outside, but let me tell you; it's a lot of work! The house was build in 1915 - we think - and despite almost a 100 years have gone by, there's still no running water in the house. But we manage, and get water in town. We do, however, have electricity. That really comes in handy every minute of the day. Like today.
We have two fireplaces in this house, which basically warms up the whole house. And since we have forest as far as the eye can see, we also have wood for the fireplaces. Or do we? That wood needs to be chopped, and that's what I've been doing today. I remember "back in the day" when we didn't have electricity in the house. Not alone did I have to go without internet - scratch that - my computer (as the battery ran out pretty quick) but when we needed to do chores, like chopping wood, it needed to be done by hand. Quite a bitch. Today we have the splitter, which makes things so much easier.
And that's what I've been doing all day. With dad. However, I had a Harry Potter audiobook in my ears, so it was quite fun actually.
Tonight, however, has been loads more relaxing. My mum and dad have had the neighbours by for dinner, so I've been in my room having a lovely time - as pictured below. I've watched a couple of movies, had endless cups of coffee and cigarettes, and I've eaten a gigantic piece of blueberry cake.
All in all it's been a very nice day, and I though with my recent blogging absence, that I'd let you in on it.
Nighty night, superstars.

Sunday Summary

Hello hello hello to you all. As I'm writing this weeks Sunday Summary, I'm sitting by the window in my room in Sweden. The weather is so lovely today. The sun's pale light is shining down on the grass, which is covered in beautifully coloured leaves from the trees. I've got a hot cup of coffee next to my laptop, and some Amy Winehouse music in the background. All in all it's a pretty nice setting for writing this weeks Sunday Summary. So let's get to it, shall we?
The week started out with some mixed emotions. School went okay, and I felt I looked pretty nice in my new 60s dress - you can find the outfit post here - I certainly got both dirty looks and some compliments. But as I really don't care much about dirty looks and sour grapes, I chose to focus on the nice compliments I got, and I think the dress is a hit. It's actually also perfect for this season, since it's made from knitted fabric. Anyway, enough about the dress. After school I did a bit of shopping for my bathroom - I bought a nice set of candlesticks - and then went home. However, I didn't really get the chance to sit down and relax, cause suddenly that awful call came, and my dad told me that my grandpa was in hospital. I quickly went down by the lake near my house, where I gathered a nice buke of flowers, and then it was straight to the hospital. My granddad looked a bit worse for wear, so I was a bit worried. After a couple of hours visiting, it was time for my granddad to get some rest, so I went home. I spend the evening stressing over homework, cooking dinner and, of course, my granddad. However, I was cheered up a lot by Kasper, whom I Skyped with for a couple of hours in the late evening...

... I only stayed up so late that night, because it turned out that chem was cancelled on Tuesday. Our teacher was sick. Anyway, my mood was loads better that day, and later in the day I once again visited my granddad, who looked and felt loads better. That cheered me up so much. After I got home, I spend the whole evening putting up my new drapes. The work in it self was a bitch, but the end result was fantastic. I'm completely in love with my apartment at the moment, and my love has only grown with the new curtains.

Wednesday is my day off, but I got up early and had morning coffee with Maria. It's been weeks since she's last been for morning coffee, and it was absolutely lovely to spend some hours in her company. The rest of the day went by pretty quickly; I'm not really sure, but I think I watched a whole lotta Friends.

Thursday I woke up in a fantastic mood, which, luckily, lasted all day. Even though Thursday means that I have to get up at around 6 - something I'm not really that good at - this Thursday was different. I woke up happy and giddy and with a smile on my face. That smile only got bigger during the day. We were doing lab experiments that day, so I got to walk around in a lab coat - and let me tell you; I've never felt smarter, haha. The school day in it self went by pretty quickly, and even though I don't really remember much, I do remember laughing - a lot! After school, Kasper and I took a stroll around town (yes, this weeks Sunday Summary picture is not the usual "pretty face close-up" but a picture which Kasper took of me Thursday) and bought a whole lot of unnecessary fattening foods, which we consumed later, when we got back at my place. A couple of hours later, Kasper left, and I was beginning to get pretty tired. But rest is for the wicked, and I had packing to do...

... cause Friday I was going to Sweden with my parents. But first, there was school. It was okay. My shoes were hurting my feet and my bag felt like it weighed a 100 pounds, but I didn't let it get me down! Because as of Friday, we all had one week of Autumn holiday, which I'm spending in the summerhouse in Sweden. So after school I met up with my mum, and together we headed for Copenhagen, where we an hour later met up with dad, and then it was on towards happy times. After a looooong drive, a delicious burger at a 50's diner and the car stereo playing songs from the 60's, we finally arrived late in the evening. After we'd unpacked the car and had gotten all of our things to their right places, I spend many hours in the kitchen with my mum; chatting it up with endless cups of coffee and cigarettes. I went to bed rather late...

... which caused me to sleep for a very long time yesterday. However, the day was not at all a bust, albeit slightly demanding on my abilities in the German language. I spend 8 hours in total working on my next German assignment(s), and I almost got it all done. There's just one last assignment left, but I was waaaay too crossed eyed by the end of the night, so I left that for today.

So I better get to it and get started.
But I think I'll put a Potter movie on, so there's some noise in the background.
Have a lovely Sunday, all of you nice people.

Oh So Lovely, Oh So Pretty

Last night, I spend a total of 2 hours hanging my new curtains. Not that the hanging of the curtains in itself took 2 hours, but I also had to put up my new curtain rods, which took a little longer than planned. But in the end it came out rather good - actually, I think it came out great! I am so in love with these curtains, and think it's one of the best purchases I've done this year. See for yourself - oh and if you're wondering; the print of the curtains are of old books on a shelf.

- The curtains are from H&M Home

Seems Like There's Always Something

Today's outfit post is a bit late, but there's been so much to do today. I've only just now come home from the hospital, where I've visited my grandfather who was admitted last week. Luckily he's getting better, but it was still nice to pay him a visit and see how he's doing.
Anyway, I managed to snap some pictures of my outfit today. This dress is new, but I've had it for a couple of weeks now. I just haven't had the chance to wear it until today, but I felt very pretty in it. It's been quite a while since I've dressed Swinging 60's, and I'd forgotten how many dirty looks and compliments I get when I do. Of course, every person passing by on the street gave me a dirty look, but the people who really matter gave compliments, so that's always something. Anyway I don't really care what people think of the way I dress; the important thing is that I like it.
Anyway, have a look and judge for yourself :)

For those of you who are wondering; the dress is from Asos Curve, the knee socks are from Asos and the boots are from Bianco (last year's collection)

Sunday Summary

Yet another rather quiet week for blogging. Although it did pick up a bit towards the end.
You see, I've been very sick with a cold, and haven't been out very much this week. My cold started last weekend, and when I woke Monday, I just felt horrible. So I made a judgment call and decided to stay home from school that day. But I did, however, manage to work out a bit. I used to work out 5 days a week, but for the last 5 or 6 months, I haven't. But now it's time to start again, and I'm proud to say that I've managed to work out every day this week.

Anyway I also stayed home Tuesday. Normally, this time of year I always get a cold, but it's been a long time since it's been this bad. So unfortunately I missed chem that day, but I did a little study of my own.

Which was actually great, cause it came in handy Thursday. I felt okay, so I went to school and had chem. The notes I took Tuesday really came in handy, and I think it was actually the first time I felt like I knew what I was doing in chem. Otherwise Thursday was good. It was nice to see some people again and share some laughs, and even though I did feel a bit worse for wear later in the day, I did manage to get down to the basement and work out.

Friday, however, I didn't feel well at all, so I (once again) stayed home from school. I spend most of the day sleeping under a warm blanket and drinking tea (and coffee of course), but I finally feel loads better now. So I'm definitely going back to school Monday, which will be very nice since it's been quite a while since I've attended Psychology.

Yesterday I felt okay - and very restless. So I decided to do a little something in my kitchen, and so I drilled some holes in my big, white wall and hung some pots and a pan. It looks really, really nice now, and I love the end result.

So that's this week Sunday Summary.
My plans for today is just to relax, do my homework and clean the apartment.
Nothing much, but I still think it'll be nice. So have a great day, everybody

Tiny Teeny Kitchen, Teeny Tiny Changes

Lookie look what I did today!
For the past couple of weeks I've had this incredibly huge urge to buy new things and change my apartment.
Before, my shopping passion was clothes, but now it seems I have moved on to buying stuff for my home. Just earlier today,
I spend a little more than I ought to at ModCloth, where I bought a cool retro looking metal pin-board, an iron squirrel door stop,
and some Scrabble letter magnets.

But I've done more than just spend money today. I've always had this boring white wall in my tiny kitchen, and for a long time now, I've been wondering what to do about that. So finally today the urge to change it was too strong, so I found some hooks I have in my tool box (yes, I have a tool box filled with loads of useful tools) and drilled some holes in the wall. After some effort I managed to get it done, and now I think it looks rather good with my pots and pan hanging there. The white empty wall is no longer empty, and as a plus plus plus, I now have more space in my cupboards.
Happy Saturday!

Something Nice This Friday Night

Yes, it is truly a nice Friday evening here in Denmark - although I know not a lot of people would agree with me on that. It has been pouring down all day, and though it annoys most people, that is what makes this my season favorite time of year (apart, of course, from Christmas). Am I right, or is there nothing as nice as just sitting inside with a cup of coffee while the raindrops drum on the window? Well, I don't think so.
I've been sick most of this week, and only just managed to go to school yesterday. Hence the lack of posts this week. So sorry for that, by the way. Anyway, just because I'm sick doesn't mean I can't enjoy myself a little. I'm currently wrapped tight in a nice and warm weaved blanket my mum made for me, I've lit a bunch of candles and Friends is on.
This is truly a lovely evening :)

H&M Discount Codes For October

Ah yes, after a very very very long day, a two hour hard workout and a nice, long, hot bath, I finally have those discounts for H&M for you
- just as I promised over at the Facebook page
There are actually several this month - some lasting longer than others. So let's get to it, shall we?

The first one gives you a £5 discount when you spend over £6
The code is: 1304
(This code is long standing, and has worked for me for a couple of years now. It should work in all countries, so don't mind that "£")

The second one gives you a 25% discount on your purchase
The code is: 9910

The third and last one gives you a 10% discount on everything (though not on design items)
The code is: 0175
(This code may only work for Danish costumers, and it's only valid until October 14)

Now I will drag myself to the kitchen and make myself some dinner, before I'm heading off to bed for an early night rest.
I'll really try to post something tomorrow, but for now, these discount codes will have to do - but hey; that ain't to shabby, right? ;)

Nighty night!
