... and dine in a romantic fashion!
Hello lovelies, how are you doing this fine Tuesday?
I thought I'd bring you some inspiring table-setting pictures from IKEA's Livet Hemma blog.
Personally I've never really been that into pink, but I simply cannot deny that this is absolutely adorable.
Might not be the best setting for your boyfriend's football friends, but why not try it for tea with your girlfriends?
Have a wonderful day - remember: Just because the sun ain't shining outside, doesn't mean it shouldn't in your mind ♡

DIY: How to paint IKEA's Frosta stool in any colour
Hello to you all on such a fine and sunny Sunday - how are you all doing? Had a great weekend?
Today I thought that I would show you how to paint the Frosta stool, which you can buy at IKEA for almost no money!
I don't know how it is around the world, but take a look in any teenagers room or the apartment of a young adult in Denmark,
and you're sure to find this exact stool. As said before, it's really cheap, really sturdy and can be used as an extra seat or a side table. There are tons of IKEA Hacks on the net on how to turn the Frosta into - well, pretty much anything! I've seen it as a sleigh, a TV table, a hat rack, a play bike and so on. If you're looking be a little creative, then just Google "IKEA Hack Frosta"...
... However, that craving for being creative can also be fulfilled right here!
There's no denying that the Frosta stool is practical, but not the prettiest of furniture - colour wise.
But as always: A little creativity, patience and imagination can go a long way.
So if you want the Frosta to match your other furniture, then all you have to do is paint it.
For inspiration, try to Google "IKEA Frosta paint" or come up with your own funny and creative idea.
NOW I KNOW that practically everyone says that you have to sandpaper it first, and that is true with bigger (and possibly more valuable) furniture. But I find that since this stool is so cheap, you don't have to go all out with the pre-painting part. Besides, if you just plan on using the Frosta as a small side table, this is the DIY for you. However, if you plan on using it as an everyday stool, then consider sandpapering, painting and varnishing it. It's a bigger project, but the paint will hold longer and it won't be as prone to dents and scratches.
Here we go
- I did not sandpaper my Frosta.
- In stead I cleaned it with a damp cloth and then let it dry off completely before painting.
- I spread a bunch of old newspapers on the floor,
making sure that I wouldn't accidentally splatter paint on my other furniture or the wooden floor.
- I turned it upside down and started with the legs of the stool.
- With a big brush I painted the stool using simple acrylic paint. You can find it in every craft store.
Making sure I got into every nook and cranny,
I painted one thick layer of paint, turning it back right side up and then painting the upper part of the stool.
- I let it dry for 12 hours before adding another thick coat of paint.
Depending on how many coats you do, let it dry for 12 (one coat) to 24 (two coats) hours.
After just one day you'll have an all new Frosta!
You can do this in any colour - though with lighter colours, you'll need to do 2-3 coats of paint,
letting it dry for 6-12 hours between every coat.
This is just such a lovely - and easy + cheap - way to add new life to your Frosta.
As a bonus, acrylic paint is really cheap and you'll only use about a tube of paint, so there's no reason for not trying this out!
It can even be done in your living room, if only you remember to spread a lot of newspapers on the floor before painting.
Have so much fun doing this - I had, and I love the result.
Lots of positive thoughts and have the happiest of sunny Sundays ♡

The Sims in your bedroom
Hi everybody, how's it going on this cold, grey and snowy Tuesday?
Did you ever play the Sims 2 when you were younger?
Back in the day, I lost a great deal of life sitting in front of the old laptop,
decorating houses and playing the puppet master of my Sims' life.
Well, at one point they released yet another expansion pack with teen stuff,
and I immediately got a flash back to that, when I saw these pictures on IKEA's Livet Hemma blog.
You see, in the expansion pack with teen stuff, they had at the back of the box, a picture on how you could decorate the rooms.
I remember they had done it exactly like this; one room with the same furniture,
but separated by different colours and room painting.
I normally wouldn't have posted this, but I just got such a huge Sims flashback that I simply had to do it!
You all have a wonderful day now
- I'm going down to the basement to find my old HP laptop and all of the old Sims 2 games.
Cheers!

Small romantic apartment
Hello Saturday, hello all!
Things have been a little hectic at the home, so the blog has been put in the background so that I could focus on real life.
However, I've missed it, and today I finally felt like I had the time to show you this beautiful apartment.
This lovely and oh so romantic apartment is styled by the Alvhem & Mäkleri team. What they do is, they take an apartment that's a little out of shape, they do their magic and give it a makeover, and then presto! Oh the wonders they can work. It must be said that they do sell these places for top dollar, but a girl can dream, right?
Have a fantastic Saturday ♡

In this case, I love the case
Hello and happy Tuesday to you all!
Tuesday is a lovely day - mainly cause it's my day off.
Today, however, I have even more reason to smile. I just god a parcel in the mail,
and in it was my two new cases for my iPhone and iPad mini.
I actually ordered them a couple of weeks back, but since they were shipped from Thailand, it took a little while.
However, they are totally worth the wait! It's no secret that I do love black and white stripes - they're everywhere in apartment 107. And since it was time for new cases anyway, I thought I'd match them up with my home interior. And oh how lovely they look!
Well, that's all from me today.
Have the happiest of days - and remember to smile and be happy ♡

Apartment 107 - My workspace
Hallih Halluh on a chilly January evening.
Tomorrow I have school all day, and since my night classes end at 10 PM,
I figure I won't have the time to post. So instead, I thought I'd post some pictures from my own home tonight.
It's hard to find places for every important home section in a one-bedroom apartment, but I think I make it work.
My workspace is a good example of that:
For a long time, I used this table as a dining table - which it is - but a few months back,
I decided I needed a workspace more. I eat in front of the telly anyway - ah, single life, haha.
Anyways, It's the perfect little spot for concentrating on homework or blog posts, plus it fits perfectly in that little nook.
I hope all of you are having fun gearing up for a new week.
Stay warm and keep on smiling ♡

Life Lately. on a happy Friday
Hello friends and hello Friday!
Ah, I simply love Friday. Best day of the week in my opinion; when you wake up you know that weekend is just a few hours away, and as a plus you know you can sleep a little longer the day after. So what am I doing on such a fine Friday? Well, I'll tell you:
Friday is the one day a week where I have to get up at 6.
Usually my classes are scheduled a little late, which gives me the opportunity to sleep until 8 or 9. But on Fridays I have morning classes, although I actually don't mind, because that way I already finish school at around 12 - I have it pretty easy, yes I know, haha.
Anyways, the alarm didn't rudely wake me up this morning, so I unfortunately I got up too late for first period.
But no matter, I got there in the end - "only" 50 minutes too late, haha.
None the less, school was - as always - nice. Classes are great, and my classmates are super duper. We spend our breaks having a quick ciggy before going back to class, and whilst inhaling that wonderful deadly poison, we usually have a lot of laughs and great small-talk conversations.
Well, not much more to tell about school; as said before I get off pretty early in the day, so after a quick visit to the super market, I rode my bike home - in the friggin' rain, which has been pouring down over the last couple of days. No matter, nothing can kill my good Friday spirits!
After I got home, I turned on the coffee maker, unpacked my school things and then just relaxed for a while. I had some stale bread in the fridge, and in stead of just throwing it out (I mean, why would I?) I decided on following the old saying "waste not, want not" and took a little stroll down to the lake and fed the ducks.
After I got home again about an hour ago, I wanted to do a little something nice and homey, so I decided to bake a cake. It's almost done now, and oh how lovely the place smells now!
Anyway, now I'm having a little cuppa tea, soon a piece of cake, and otherwise just a very hyggelig time.
You all have the best Friday ever now
- remember: do something fun, have a little Friday adventure and whatever you do, put on the biggest smile while doing it ♡

Small Space Inspiration #4
A small spaced apartment for you today - this time located in - you guessed it - Sweden!
I browse interior blogs every day, I follow a lot of interior stylists on Instagram and I read a lot of magazines with articles and pictures from famous and non-famous peoples homes. One thing that always baffles me is: Where's the TV? Not that I, myself, am a TV junkie - but it does seem a little odd that there is no TV. You got to wonder if it's just for show, and the owners have stashed the TV away in a closet or something.
None the less, a little small spaced inspiration is always a good thing, so have a look at these pictures and get inspired.
Have a lovely Wednesday day ♡

Tour of my teeny tiny bathroom
Well, hello to a beautiful and sunny Saturday here in DK, and hello to all of you!
It's not that often I show you my own home, but today I thought I'd give you a teeny tour of my tiny bathroom. I did a similar thing with my kitchen a long time ago, but it's changed a bit out there as well, so I'll give you a tour of that another time.
Well anyway, the thing that brought this post on was actually my cleaning obsession.
Today I woke up early and I just felt like I needed a morning project. So I decided to clean the bathroom, but that quickly turned into a "raid." I decided to finally de-clutter out there, which has been a long time coming.
As you can see, there's not much room out there, so to the naked eye, it doesn't seem like there's much to de-clutter. However, right outside my bathroom door I have a tall closet in which I keep bathroom related odds and ends, plus I have some bathroom trolleys under the sink which needed a little de-cluttering as well.
It was a nice project; it took two hours, three trash bags and a lot of choices (in the sense that I am a bit of a collector, so I have a hard time throwing things out), but now it's finally nice and tidy out there.
As I've said many many many times before, I live in a small studio apartment. It's old, dingy and small, the kitchen is teeny, the bathroom is tiny, I sleep on a sofa bed - but oh how I love this apartment! It's my little kingdom, and even though I'd like to make a lot of changes, I do love this place and wouldn't trade it for anything!
Well, that's it for me today. I have a Danish paper due, however I find myself drinking coffee and smoking cigarettes instead, browsing cool 60's inspired clothes on the internet. Oh well, it is, after all, Saturday!
You all have a lovely day - go out and enjoy the sunshine, and remember to be oh-so-happy that it's finally weekend ♡

Vintage Vibe
Hello lovelies!
Wow, we're already 3 days into January, and for me these last couple of weeks have been a little hectic and stressful.
But luckily it seems things are - slowly - beginning to turn for me, and so therefore I also have some time for the blog again.
Today I wanted to show you yet another cool and very well styled Swedish apartment.
It seems they're a dime a dozen, but for every Swedish home I see, I can't help of longing to live in a stylish, white and oh-so-pretty apartment in Stockholm or Kalmar and so on. Oh, a girl can dream, right?
Have a wonderful Friday - remember that now it's finally weekend (TGIF, right?)
and there are lots of reasons to smile beg´cause of that. So go out and throw everybody a big old smile - it'll drive them crazy ♡
